Next up was the antennae, a pair of small, spindly appendages to our beloved Carl.
As has been the tradition for the previous stages, the first step was to punch a few more holes into the mesh. The antennae did not need much in the way of a 'base', so knocking out a single poly per antenna sufficed.
The next step was to once again use the 'Border' tool and 'Scale' in conjunction with holding the 'Shift' key - to pull the border inwards, whils creating a new set of faces. The result was pulled up and created a simple 'pinch' where the antenna would connect to the rest of the model.
The antennae themselves were nothing more than extensions from the bases just created. Only this time, instead of using the 'Scale' tool, it was a simple case of moving the border up whilst holding the 'shift' key. I also went back and used the 'connect' tool to split the antennae into several smaller polys (This is vital for the movement when the bones are added, as they need to bend and be flexible)
The tips of the antennae also weren't anything particularly special - 2 spheres.
After reshaping the spheres in the 'Edit Poly' mode so that they were more like grapes, a small hole was cut into the back of each them, which was to connect to the stalks.
